Memories of Fort McMurray

How our listeners can help

My name is Nelissa Weatherbee. I was raised in Fort McMurray, and lived there for 21 years. I am putting a book together called Memories Of Fort McMurray. I am looking for memories/stories/testimonials from those who lived there/visited there. I am also looking for historical photos from 1920s-1980s. Please feel free to email me/call me/ or look me up on facebook. Also if anyone would like to help me put the book together and help financially with getting the photos printed, please contact me.

Thank you for what everyone is doing to help my hometown. It is heart-warming to know that Alberta and the rest of Canada pull together in an event of such horrific tragedy. God Bless all of you.

The Gideons Int'l in Canada

How our listeners can help

Help us bring Hope to those affected by the fires in Fort McMurray. The vision of the "HOPE for Fort Mac" campaign is to raise funds to provide 10'000 Hope magazines, which included 50 Psalms of hope and the book of John. Over the next few weeks we will distribute these Hope mags to the people who have been evacuated through our Gideon members and in partnership with local churches. Wherever there is opportunity we will provide a Hope magazine along with humanitarian aid.
Every $3 will place a HOPE magazine in the hands of someone who has been affected by the Fort McMurray fires.
Please consider helping, thank you and bless you!!

We would love to invite you to be part of "Let the Fire Unite" fundraising initiative. This is a great opportunity to collaborate and connect with you. The proceeds will be donated to Samaritan's Purse. They will be deploying a Disaster Relief team which have provided physical and emotional care in times of need around the world. This time, they will be there for thousands of people affected by the wildfire in Fort McMurray. We are doing this drive from Sunday to Sunday (May 15 to May 22 2016). Soon we will be reaching 15 orphan girls in Mexico as well. We are a NFP that intends to connect people through acts of love poured out by our Lord and Saviour. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions feel free to contact us.
