To generate revenue by developing market potential through prospecting, client needs assessment, presentation, and closing sales.
Knowledge & Skills:
Minimum two years’ experience in business to business sales
Experience selling in a customer-focused environment
Previous experience in the broadcasting industry an asset
Outstanding customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines
Perseverance and persistence in prospecting and cold calling
Ability to ask for the order and close deals decisively
Ability to function both independently and in a team environment
Must demonstrate integrity and professionalism
Self-motivation, passion, and drive to succeed
Positive attitude, problem solver, and willingness to learn
An understanding of Christian contemporary music, spoken word programming, and their listener base an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Initiate sales process with new clients by prospecting, cold calling, scheduling appointments, assessing clients’ needs, understanding account needs, making initial presentation, closing, and servicing account.
Build, manage, and service your list of station clients.
Develop and coordinate radio advertising campaign strategies for the client.
Present and communicate campaign strategies to client. Close the sale!
Work with clients to monitor results of campaigns to ensure ongoing satisfaction.
Act as liaison between clients, Creative, Production, and Traffic departments to ensure flawless communication and execution of campaigns.
Generate new ideas and opportunities by anticipating trends and issues based on knowledge of clients’ business.
Cross-sell/up-sell various services (web/digital) other stations in the network
Maintain client information in customer relationship management software.
Analyze ongoing results to identify campaign trends and key insights to help meet and exceed client goals.
Manage receivables in a timely manner.
Attend regular training, sales meetings, and station events as required.
Complete weekly sales report and monthly GAP report.
Report activity to Sales Manager.
Other duties as assigned.
