When All Things Aren’t Equal: Tackling Global Gender Inequality
March 8 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm| Free
It’s no secret that gender inequality and poverty go hand-in-hand, but what does this actually mean for the daily lives of people around the world? Child marriage, gender-based violence, and a lack of opportunities for women— we’ve got some serious work to do when it comes to tackling gender equality on a global level. Yet, while gender issues deeply impact women, gender equality encompasses so much more than female empowerment.
Join us on March 8th, International Women’s Day, as we connect with global experts about gender equality. You’ll hear from three international Food for the Hungry (FH) staff as they speak on gender norms, child marriage, gender-based violence, and more.
This marks the second Food for the Hungry Sectors Webinar series, discussing key issues facing our world today and how FH (and you!) are tackling them head on. Each online presentation is followed by an interactive Q&A where you can discuss your thoughts and seek clarity to your curiosities.
