The 19th Annual Radiothon is taking place on Thursday, October 6th, which is just in time for the Thanksgiving season! This is YOUR opportunity to hear about the lives that are being restored, right here at the Calgary Dream Centre!
But WAIT, it gets better. You’ll hear these stories firsthand from our very own past and present residents from 6 AM – 6 PM on 88.9 SHINE FM!
You’ll hear stories, like Eithan’s.
“The stigma of homelessness and addiction is a heavy burden to bear, and it makes you feel hopeless. On the streets, I would sometimes dumpster dive to find food to eat so I could make it through to the next day. It brings a human-being to a real low point to realize you are basically eating garbage to survive.
Coming to the Calgary Dream Centre, I found hope again. Through the support I’ve received, the nutritious meals I’ve eaten, and the community that now surrounds me, I feel like I’ve gotten my life back.
For the first time in my life, I know I’m not alone. I now wake up, and give thanks to God every morning for my new life”.– Eithan, Program Alumni
