Are you familiar with the meaning and purposes behind the use of a Labyrinth or have you always wondered what the significance is for those maze-like pathways? In your quest to deepen your relationship with God, you are often invited into meditative and contemplative practices. Sonya will offer an introduction on how to walk a Labyrinth and then invite you to explore how this journey can become a space to be quiet and encounter God.

Whether you are a novice or very familiar with how to “walk a Labyrinth” or perhaps just curious about their significance, come and join in on the ancient activity that offers space to slow down your faculties; if only for a moment.

Sonya Grossklaus is a trained Spiritual Director for 12 years and offers individual and group Spiritual Direction (“SD”), SD Supervision and retreats with a focus on Silence, Nature, Scriptures, Music, Contemplation, and Prayer. She is one of the leaders of the Spiritual Direction Training Program (SDTP) and a member of the Program Facilitation Resource Team at the FCJ Centre. Sonya’s background includes a Master’s degree in Divinity, Leadership and Ministry as well as advanced degrees in Music and Theology. She has been a music instructor and animal sitter for over 25 years and loves the beneficial healing attributes that naturally flow from both. Her deep passion for hospitality, faith-formation, and living a contemplative and unconventional non-busy lifestyle exudes through her charism and ministry style.
