The Kiwanis Club of Calgary Chinook is hosting an Open House on Tuesday October 25 at The Austrian – Canadian Cultural Centre, 3112 – 11 Street N.E. Calgary.

“Our club gives members an opportunity to serve children in our community, serve with friends, and become leaders in the community. This club means a lot to our members, but it means so much more to the families we serve,” said Dennis Kowch – Club President

‘EVERY KID SHOULD HAVE A BIKE’ – is the philosophy that drives the Kiwanis Club of Calgary Chinook’s “Bikes and Sporting Goods” Program. With the generosity and contributions of many individuals and organizations we are providing many less fortunate youngsters and their families with bikes, helmets, sporting goods, and winter clothing.

The program started in 1997 and since then we have provided 6431 bikes over the past 20 years. So far this year we have donated 618 bikes and 702 new helmets throughout the city. This is our largest donation in any single year.
