An event at the University of Calgary to address Human Sex Trafficking Risks to University Students: university students are at high risk of sexual exploitation
On March 21st, CASTLE and BRAVE Education are hosting an event called the Human Trafficking Panel, Art, and Dinner (HT PAD) at the Red & White Club in Calgary.
From 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, we will examine how current trends in the sex industry affect university students through participatory discussion and opportunities to interact with local organizations.
The keynote speaker is Armand King, author of “Raised in Pimp City”. Armand, alongside other speakers with BIPOC and lived experience, will share their perspectives and be available for audience questions.
The aim of this event is to provide a safety and support network and relevant information for university students to learn more about human trafficking and the sex industry. Other community members are welcome to attend who are interested in learning and community-based organizations will provide information about available supports.”
