Sonya will introduce you to walking a Labyrinth, inviting you to explore how this journey can offer a space to become quiet and encounter God.

Whether you are a novice or very familiar with how to “walk a Labyrinth” or perhaps just curious about their significance, come and join in on the ancient activity that offers space to slow down your faculties, if only for a moment.

FACILITATOR:
Sonya is a trained Spiritual Director and in addition to offering individual and group Spiritual Direction, she is one of the leaders of the Spiritual Direction Training Program (SDTP) at the FCJ Centre and a member of the FCJ Program & Facilitation Resource Team. Sonya’s background includes Master degrees in Divinity, Leadership and Ministry as well as advanced degrees in Music and Theology. She has been a music instructor and animal sitter for over 25 years and continues to enjoy giving and receiving the beneficial healing attributes that delightfully and abundantly flow from both. She has a deep passion for Scripture, faith-formation and living and unconventional non-busy but divinely filled contemplative and devoted life, which naturally exudes through her ministry style. Sonya has done retreat work with a focus on Silence, Nature, Music, and Prayer, and invites you to Come Aside for an evening where various ways of prayer will be discussed and experienced. Sonya is excited to invite you to retreat with her and engage with the Lord through practical means so as to receive nourishment and renewal for your soul that will also translate into your everyday life.
