World-Renowned Speaker To Visit Slave Lake To Launch Historical Initiative

SLAVE LAKE, AB — On April 11th, 2015 Slave Lake will host world-renowned and highly sought-after international guest speaker Dr. Tony Compolo at the launch event for Operation Payback. This historical initiative is the first of its kind worldwide, and will see Slave Lake and surrounding area come together with World Vision and Compassion Canada to adopt an area in Bolivia through child sponsorships. Operation Payback commemorates the first-time in each of their organization’s histories that World Vision and Compassion Canada are working together in a joint effort. The free launch event is open to the public and will take place on April 11th at 7pm at the Slave Lake Multi-Rec Centre (305 6 Ave SW, Slave Lake) and will also feature a performance by award-winning singer/song-write Jon Bauer.
