Please join the CORE Choir for another evening of timeless sacred music. Our featured speaker this evening is Licia Corbella. Licia has a passion for helping the vulnerable and is on the board of the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre. Her “day job” is senior columnist at the Calgary Herald. Working for daily newspapers for more than 32 years, she started her journalism career in 1986 at The Province newspaper in Vancouver before moving to Toronto with her husband, working at The Toronto Star and the Toronto Sun, where she won numerous awards for her feature writing and news reporting, including two Edward Dunlop Awards of Excellence.
In October 1993, she moved to Alberta with her husband and began working at the Calgary Sun in a variety of roles, including as Editorial Page Editor, a role she held until she moved to the Herald in December 2007. During her time at the Herald, her contributions have helped the paper win a Michener Award and a National Newspaper Award. Licia and her husband, Stephen have twin 21-year-old sons who are both attending university.

CORE Celebration is a citywide worship gathering featuring a rich musical program including choir, instrumentalists, singers, and many local musicians from the professional and church communities within our city.
