Aviation Interfaith Ministry is an evangelical non-profit organization that runs and maintains the Chapel at the Calgary International Airport. Our focus is different than that of the local church but our mission is the same. Our motto is “Connecting people to God” and our objective is transformation. We plan to assist individuals to become productive citizens of both heaven and earth. While the church establishes in the rural and urban communities we have a “marketplace ” focus at the gateway to the city. We are a group of Believers who care about our community. We are involved in many aspects of ministry to people and families. YYC has 14.3 million travellers each year; 23,000 employees at the terminal, and 45,000 people working in the airport area. God has made us for such a time as this.

Our store is located in the food court area right beside the Chapel on the 3rd floor. The Chapel store is open once a month between 10am and 2pm. The items in the store are surrendered and lost & found items that have been donated to the Chapel store by the airport. These items are sold at a GREAT discounted prices and all profits go to support the Chapel as it exists entirely by donations and store profit.

Examples of some of the items for sale are: Swiss army knives, tools, lighters, household appliances, laptops, Apple products, smartphones … you name it – we probably have it.

The sale has brought people from all over Calgary and surrounding areas and has become quite the attraction.

From January 2015 the store will be the 2nd Thursday of each month.
