The Calgary Jazz Orchestra is joined by the New West Chorus for an evening of music of Dave Brubeck and a world premier performance of Johnny Summers’ “Suite Jubilation.”

“Suite Jubilation” is a new sacred work by Johnny Summers inspired by Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concerts, Coltrane’s Love Supreme and the music of Wynton Marsalis. The Jazz Orchestra is joined by 40 members of the New West Chorus and will be performing elements of Blues, Gospel, Soul, Funk, Jazz (traditional, early swing and modern) into full-unrestrained energetic raise the roof gospel music.
