Airdrie Koinonia Christian School Delivers 5,000 Meals to Hope Mission in Calgary

June 10 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

| Free

Airdrie Koinonia Christian School has stepped up to help some less fortunate neighbours. On Friday, May 31st, the students, staff, parents, corporate sponsors and local dignitaries joined together to pack 10,000 meals for the hungry in Alberta.
5,000 of the meals will be given to Hope Mission, an organization based in Calgary. Hope Mission has been providing food for Albertans in need for the past 90 years.
The Calgary branch is located in the Forest Lawn area and the 5,000 meals that are being donated will help feed families in the neighbourhood for one month. It will be used in lunch programs at school, feeding children after school at the hubs and also for some of the community dinners.
The donation is part of the school’s Feed the Need fundraiser which is currently receiving donations until June 14th.
CTV News attended the event and did a cover story for the evening news on May 31st.

On Monday, June 10th at 9:30 a.m., Airdrie Koinonia Christian School will be delivering 5,000 meals to Hope Mission in Calgary at 4869 Hubalta Road SE. We invite media to attend this event for a news story.
