Dr. Garry Owen, M.D. Memorial Academic Lectures in the Chapel -Lecture 2 from 10 – 11am – Starting with the Gospel: Mission in the Biblical Story. Lecture 3 from 2:30 – 3:30 pm – The Vocation of the Missional Church in the World.

This lecture series will examine a new paradigm for mission that is centered in the Bible’s teaching that the church is “missionary by its very nature.” That means a lot more than the church needs to evangelise and do cross-cultural missions. It means that its very identity is “for the sake of the world” as it finds its role in the biblical story. We will probe what this means for local congregations.
