Law Day is a family-friendly, interactive event that allows people to learn more about our justice system as it is quite different from what we see on TV. Activities include Court Centre Tours, including prison cells, Canada Border Services with Wesson, the contraband detector dog, Calgary Police Service CSI demonstrations, more than 50 information booths and exhibits representing law related services and educational information, and fun mock trials including “R. v. Batman”, “Despicable Me”, and the musical Cinderella v. Elsa.

FREE in-person 15-20 minute legal consultations will be available at the Courts Centre on April 22 from 9am-3pm. Albertans who are unable to attend Law Day can access the “Dial-a-Lawyer” program on April 22nd from 9am – 4pm by calling toll-free 1-888-644-8950. Lawyers who specialise in family law, criminal law, civil law, wills and estates, immigration and other issues will be available.
