I have suffered from depression since the age of fifteen. I left home at fifteen after having a child and giving her up for adoption. My heart was broken, I was broken, but living with alcholic parents was more than I could deal with anymore. So at 16 I married an alcholic, at least I knew what to expect drinking and being beaten. Luckily for me he finally ended up in jail. So I ended up befriending a motorcycle gang, just kept going from bad to worse, starting drinking and doing drugs at least I was making it through the day, or so I thought and it just goes on and on. I have not been able to work for the last 2 years but finally about 4 months ago I was diagnosed as Bi-Polar Depressive. I was so glad to hear that because now I could be treated with the proper medication. I found Shine FM and I listen everyday, there is always a song or several that speak to me and along with my medication I am able to see the good in life. I managed to find a couple of old friends through FaceBook and they are very supportive, my girlfriend Bobbi who is truly an angel sent me a ticket to visit her in Ontario after visiting me in Calgary. I have no secrets anymore except a few with my family, they do not get it. I think your radio show and the personalities are awesome you all fit together so well and i find hioe in each day after listening to you. Thank you for being there as I travel a new road in my life. You are appreciated and I know you all live what you talk. THANK YOU for being there for me as part of my support system. Pat
