Somehow, when people start listing off sins, this one tends to get overlooked. Gossip. Maybe it's because it's often veiled in "sharing a prayer request" for someone else's situation or need - and then all the juicy details come spilling out. There are other passages in the Bible that talk about how there is no place for gossip in the life of a follower of Christ, but I found it interesing that here in a book of wisdom, it's stated plain as day - a person who gossips does more than just "tell a story". They betray a confidence - and that's a pretty big deal. Consider that next time you're about to "share a prayer request".
