Calgary Stampede Menu for their Centenial Celebrations

The Calgary Stampede has unveiled the 17 new mouth watering, gut busting food items that will be offered at this year's centennial edition of The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.
1. Deep Fried Kool-Aid - Various flavours are added to a finger-licking dough and fried to a golden crisp
2. Deep Fried Vegetables - Tempura coated sweet potatoes, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, and mushrooms
3. Deep Fried Pickle Chips - Thinly sliced dill-pickles dipped in buttermilk and battered with spices.
4. Deep Fried Wagon Wheels - Dipped in funnel cake batter, this classic treat will be rolling over the competition
5. Salt Spring Island Noodle Stir Frys - A healthy gourmet noodle box cooked with fresh veggies, chicken or shrimp and no oil!
6. Sausage-on-a-stick - Carb friendly, a mouthwatering Polish or Italian sausage is served with a side of mustard
7. Red Velvet Funnel Cake - Topped with a yummy icing
8. Beef Bacon Sandwiches - Bacon that is healthy? Yep! Leaner than traditional pork bacon, enjoy this sandwich guilt free
9. Cotton Candy Cupcakes - Pillowy cotton candy tops a bright pink and blue cupcake
10. Jalapeno Corndogs - A jalapeno flavoured dog fires up this corndog
11. Bacon Sundae Funnel Cake - Bacon and chocolate on a funnel cake. The best of both worlds – sweet and savoury!
12. Jack Daniels Fudge - A distinctive and flavourful fudge
13. Loukoumathes (Greek Honey Puffs) - Golden puffs of fried dough bathed in sweet syrup and sprinkled with cinnamon and walnuts
14. Esquites - Warm corn salad in a cup
15. Naaco Bits - Butter chicken sausage, battered and deep fried
16. Taco Pizza - A traditional pizza crust with Mexican inspired toppings
17. Pulled Pork Poutine - Pulled pork, cheese curds, fries, gravy – this may bring Kelly Rippa back to Alberta!
Three local well-known YYC Food Trucks are also taking part in this food extravaganza: Los Compadres, Naaco Trucka and Mighty Skillet.
