Can You Read This?

Scholars have discovered what they belive to be the oldest example of written English yet discovered. The inscription is about 500 years old. the writing was found on the wall of a cathedral in England. The writing was hidden behind a monument for centuries. That monument was recently removed.

Oldest written English.

The big question is what does it say? Nobody knows. It was written in Old-English lettering, and some of it has rubbed off, so no one can read it. Now they are asking the public if they can read it.

This shows the visible letters in red.

To me it looks like:

uib
il ong
ms Cubjuu bi
"aywund l ly
um and we are crazy
Be u' l

But that's just jibberish, so probably not.
What do you think it says? Leave your guesses in the comments section at the top of the page.
