I can't find it!
With the family spread out a bit in age ranges that include everything from toddlers to teens in the house finding things can be a challenge. Yes of course there is a place for everything and everything can be in it’s place but that usually only happens for the time that someone first finds it there and heads off with it! Now say it’s your teens that may have last had something like maybe the remote for the TV! Then I check around the telephone, fridge, bathroom or couch cushions. Usually you can figure out exactly what your teen was doing and where they have been because of the trail they leave through out the house but now the bedroom is another story that’s just the closets thing to what a bomb going off in a room looks like. Toddlers on the other hand can be a bit trickier, here you need an understanding of what the current hotspots are for them in the house. Like for example, the stainless steal bread box on the island in the kitchen is NOT in fact a bread box in the eyes of Leif our Grandson. This is a Garage for his Cars complete with sound effects when he is opening and closing the Garage/Bread Box door. This is also where neat or favorite things that Leif has come across can be located like say Joanne’s tooth brush (which had it been put away would not have turned up in the Garage or I mean bread box) So say you are at work and you get your first call from Joanne saying – “hey, do you know where my tooth brush is?” “oh yes sounds familiar you can remember Leif brushing his teethe in the dining room under the table (fort) and thinking Ok that’s not his little ducky tooth brush is it? Agh that will get addressed right after you turn down the potatoes but then the dog is dancing in the hallway because he has to go out already half an hour ago! So that’s the kids, now if your husband who is asking on the where-abouts of a couple of his favorite shirts and you still can’t figure out what happened to them but you see he last was pictured in them in some photo’s from Augusts family get together at your Aunt and Uncles Wedding Anniversary in Slave lake. You might want to take a look in the Trailer you took out there! Yup sure enough never even unpacked his clothes – HONEY – I love you! Oh you thought I was going to do that - no I thought you were going to get that, ....well anyway we're UP two shirts for you again honey! Oh and if anyone is looking for the starwars figurine, he's in the fishtank downstairs! LOL
