Richie Fike (Or just "Fike" as his friends call him) grew up in south Louisiana where hip-hop was the only music he was really exposed to. In college he was introduced to modern pop/rock music and soon picked up a guitar and started teaching himself to play. His friend, Ben Kennedy, stared a band called FaceDown and made Richie Fike the lead singer. Ben would write and play the music and Fike would sing and write the lyrics.

Then Fike met Dana. He saw her singing “Amazing Grace” while visiting her church in 1997. He asked if she would be interested in joining the band. She did. A year and a half later in the summer of 1999, they were married and have been making beautiful music together ever since.

They moved to Tyler, Texas were the got to know Shane & Shane and Robbie Seay. The toured with them for a while before deciding to become local church pastors. In 2002, they moved to Colorado Springs and took a position at Vanguard Church.

Working with Sean Mulholland they released their first independent worship album in 2004 called In & Out of Season. That was followed by The Morning is Come in 2006. Then their final full-length indie album Make a Sound in 2009. From that album, the single “Ascend to Heaven” won the Song of the Year award that year at GMA's Music in the Rockies. Interestingly, it also hit the top of the charts in Peru. That year Richie Fike officially signed with Integrity Publishing as an exclusive songwriter.

Fike & Dana's latest release is the single "My Saviour Lord" (2010).
